From Joy to Fury: The Psychology of Emotion
Welcome! This is the site for the 2011 Cornell Adult University course "From Joy to Fury: The Psychology of Emotion."
I created this site in order to provide an easy place to find the schedule and readings, but also to provide links to various interesting readings and videos that are relevant to the topics we'll be discussing (see the navigation bar on the right). We will make the primary readings available in a packet when you arrive, but I will continue to post them in digital form for the next few days.
Luckily, the science of emotion has grown tremendously over the past 20 years. However, this means that there's no way to cover all of the topics many would consider central to the study of emotion. If there is a topic you would like to learn more about but that is not among those listed in the schedule/readings, please email me (dap54@cornell.edu) and I promise I'll try my best to squeeze it in!
